This short lived flower has dense mat-forming habit with a primrose like clusters of flowers which bloom continuously. The intensity of colour provided by verbena forms a brilliant display for hot and dry situation perfect for the Australian summer. Verbena has a low growing spreading habit and it is best to pinch back regularly close to the stems to prevent straggly from cut back after flowering to promote new flush. In mild climates will survive 2-3 seasons.
