Hardy annual. Large flowers similar to Chrysanthemum on tall thick stems with wide flat leaves. Popular blend of orange, yellow, apricot and cream. Large 10 cm blooms. Pinch out growing points to encourage bushiness. Remove spent flowers to promote continuous flowering. Heat sensitive.
Flowers are edible. Petals are often used as garnishes on soups and in herbal tea also a great substitute for saffron in rice.
